2022 Home Block Pinot Noir

From our 1.5-acre Home Block vineyard on the Naramata Bench, this Pinot Noir is rooted in calcareous silt-loam soils just above Okanagan Lake, where Dijon 115 vines planted in 2013 are surrounded by old-growth sagebrush. The warm 2023 growing season brought early ripening, carefully balanced through precise irrigation and canopy work. Fermented in oak vats with 25% whole cluster and aged nine months in French oak (28% new), the wine is unfined and unfiltered.

Pale garnet in colour, it opens with aromas of crushed graphite, wild berries, and forest floor. The palate is bright and textured with red cherry, ripe strawberries, sage, and a lingering finish of clove and earth. A quietly complex Pinot that reflects both place and vintage with elegance.
