2023 Chardonnay
Produced from one of Naramata’s oldest certified sustainable vineyards, this 2023 Chardonnay hails from self-rooted vines planted in 1998 on a steep, west-facing slope with undisturbed, unsorted soils. The warm, early season was carefully managed to retain natural acidity and expression, resulting in a wine that was fermented and aged for nine months in French oak (34% new), with no malolactic fermentation.
The result is a medium-bodied Chardonnay with vibrant acidity, layered aromas of flint, lemon, and chalk, and a textured palate of green pear, citrus, raw cashew, and crushed almond. Elegant and savoury, with a long, memorable finish.
